Chianti is the fourth most recognised Italian word in the world.It is a vast geographic area from the hilly landscape placed at the centre of the Tuscan region,between Siena and Firenze.Chianti is synonim for wine all over the world.In the real world it is an incredibly beautiful landscape where rows of cypress trees give way to vineyards like precious embroidery on fabric.In this area full of fable-like charm, small villages rise like forgotten castles where ancient traditions are respected in perfec harmony with the surrounding land.The Chianti Classico DOCG is beeing produced in the counties of Greve in Chianti , Castellina in Chianti, Radda in Chianti, Gaiole in Chianti mainly using vines of Sangiovese (80%), vines such as Canaiolo and Malvasia del Chianti ( 20%).Thirty-one million bottles are averagely produced yearly.
The winy scent and ruby colour acquires a violet-like flavour and a tempered refinement with ageing.Minimum alchoolic content of 12%.

The departure from your hotel or villa will be at 9.30 a.m. in order to reach the beautiful Chianti wine area and sightsee landscapes of vineyards and olive groves. Our first stop will be the charming village of Vertine, dated back to the Middle Ages. After a relaxing walk through the tiny streets well reach our first winery and enjoy the visit of the old cellars and the tasting of Chianti Classico Riserva, Supertuscans and extra virgin olive oil . We will continue our drive to a characteristic medieval village where we will have a nice lunch in a typical trattoria and have delicious hand-made “gnocchi” and “tagliatelle” pasta with wild boar sauce and “ribollita”, a traditional, thick bread and vegetable stew, enhanced by a well-chosen house wine that reflects the sturdy character of the surrounding countryside and the people who live there. After lunch we’ll reach a small boutique winery, we’ll meet the wine maker who will explain us the wine aging processes and serve us some of the wines produced.
The return to your hotel or villa will be at around 5 p.m. .You‘ll have the time to relax by the pool and savour the memories of the day.
